An unreleased Beyonce track from the latest Tapemasters Inc mixtape surfaced earlier today. The song is titled ‘Ice Cream Truck’, and it’s taken from her ‘Dangerously In Love’ recording sessions in 2002-2003. So although the song is new to the ears, it’s still an old track but check it out anyway:

Um, awful. I’m just glad this very amateurish R&B song never saw the light of day on DIL because that would have been tragic. It’s just really immature and playground-ish. Just imagine having something as brilliant as ‘Crazy In Love’ and then the next song on the tracklist is ‘Ice Cream Truck’. Not good.

July 10th, 2009 at 7:43 pm
This is actually not bad…it’s cute, fun, and diffrent. I wouldn’t mind hearing a re-recorded version on IASF on the Sasha Fierce side…
July 10th, 2009 at 7:45 pm
@Anthony Agreed…It’s cute, but I don’t like it for that album at all…DIL was all abt love and relationships and this wudve killed the whole vibe of the album…glad she didnt release this 1.
Can’t wait for more unreleased tracks to leak…cuz we all know what a recording freak Beyonce is. lol
July 10th, 2009 at 7:59 pm
@ImHighPrice
this song wouldnt fit on the sasha side.
as a matter of fact, the only real “sasha” songs are Diva & Single Ladies.
as for the song? i’ll pass.

All I’m saying is, whoever was the A&R that advised her to keep this song off of DIL, HIRE HIM/HER BACK, because whoever is her A&R now is not doing that good of a job. And if its Bey herslef making the selections, she needs someone with better sense & taste in music to hold her hand duriing the song selection, album making/shaping process!
July 10th, 2009 at 8:17 pm
I don’t think the song is that bad
July 10th, 2009 at 8:27 pm
@ Face (heartAKeys!)
Shit…when you have songs like “Scared of Lonely” & “Hello” on the Sasha Fierce side…Honey, anything can fit
July 10th, 2009 at 8:35 pm
It was alright but definitely dated.
All I need is Stop Sign in HQ then it’s all good.
July 10th, 2009 at 8:39 pm
@ImHighPrice
ya know what? you’re right.
July 10th, 2009 at 8:41 pm
smh……..how is this any different from some of the other garbage she releases besides other than Halo and her unoriginal Get me bodied part 2 lol…smh
July 10th, 2009 at 8:42 pm
@YO
seriously, after reading that Sweet Dreams premier post, and seeing the many sensible artistry/creativity based points [you and others made] and the responses to them, its like talking to bricks,
.
July 10th, 2009 at 9:21 pm
^LOL! You can’t tell a stan NOTHING!! You could catch Beyonce booty clapping and dropping it like its hot during a funeral ceremony and her stans would swear she didn’t know what she was doing, it was Sasha fierce or a Beyonce look alike.
No point in arguing with the bubble bees lol…same with Mimi’s lambs and that hot ass mess of a performance that she tried to blame on the event..smdh..so what is her excuse for the other hundreds of recent horrible performances?
July 10th, 2009 at 9:58 pm
I like it..her vocals are hot…still shitting on all the other singers in the game.
But happy it got left off.
July 10th, 2009 at 10:07 pm
The interesting about this song,it might be dated but it’s still better half of the trash out there.Vocal wise still better than anything Riahnna/ciara/amerie will ever release.Considering this was before Beyonce’s vocals evolved(stronger and darker)
July 10th, 2009 at 10:08 pm
*EDIT*
The interesting thing about this song,it might be dated but it’s still better than half of the trash out there right now.Vocal wise still better than anything Riahnna/ciara/amerie will ever release.Considering this was before Beyonce’s vocals evolved(stronger and darker)
July 10th, 2009 at 10:18 pm
LOL! I see the stans are delusional as always. The song is extremely wack and elementary. It definitely should have been scrapped.
July 10th, 2009 at 10:52 pm
I can’t hear it, but tell me this, is it better than “Freakum Dress” because it’s hard to top that one. Even with something as non-pedestrian as, “Ice Cream Truck”.
Why are her old old OLD songs being dug up………….
July 10th, 2009 at 10:53 pm
Um….yeah, I’m still waiting for Speechless to be a single.
July 10th, 2009 at 10:57 pm
And @ LadyLfabulous, haven’t you stated before you don’t like Beyonce, but always listening to her music and watching her videos(so you always come and make negative statements)???? And you call her “stans” idiots??? Lol
July 10th, 2009 at 11:25 pm
No…
July 11th, 2009 at 12:02 am
Crazy in Love was such a shit song also.
July 11th, 2009 at 12:03 am
I dont like Beyonce at all. voice and her music is irritating as hell. but this ice cream truck is actually pretty good. this is going to be the first Beyonce song i add to my music playlist.
July 11th, 2009 at 12:05 am
I agree. This was Shyt!
July 11th, 2009 at 12:22 am
LOL @ PrettyinPink
Yes I have stated that I dislike her, however I am a patron of this blog and I have the right to read every entry and comment on them if I choose. If you don’t like what I said, then scroll your silly ass on. Why be so pressed to keep up with me?
Kick rocks!
July 11th, 2009 at 12:26 am
P.S. I said delusional…you said idiot.
July 11th, 2009 at 12:50 am
Its a bad song. Thank God Bee never used it. HORRIBLE. And I’m a Beyonce stan.

July 11th, 2009 at 1:11 am
This is fucking stupid
July 11th, 2009 at 1:11 am
im a beyonce stan but yea no this song isnt good 4 n e of her albums, but hey still heart her!
July 11th, 2009 at 1:37 am
July 11th, 2009 at 3:22 am
C’mon now. It’s Beyonce. This shit is right up her weave covered alley. This song is no more juvenile than “That’s how I like it”, half the songs on B’day, “Check on it” or a good few of the songs on the Sasha Fierce disc of I am… Sasha Fierce.
July 11th, 2009 at 4:50 am
Damn, so many people complaining about not liking Beyonce and how wack her songs are, but you know every Damn song in her catalogue. Get over yourself. This song will probably have more hits on you tube than some of these other chicks that can’t even buy a hit with the best producers.
July 11th, 2009 at 6:38 am
yeah i agree toya. Thank GOD they kept this track off. I have nothing BUT nice things to say about DIL and this wouldve just ruined it.
July 11th, 2009 at 2:41 pm
Listen to the words and the vocals……I LOve it. Its cute. Ppl r so against beyonce n all her endeavours. Isn’t this America said about “single ladies”…… Its too ghetto.it was this. it was that. but guess wat? it went 2 number 1. GIVE THE CHECK A BREAK!
July 11th, 2009 at 3:46 pm
I’m with Mike - it’s not THAT bad, considering it was done 6 years ago. It’s not great either though.
July 11th, 2009 at 5:37 pm
i love it! miss R&Bee
July 11th, 2009 at 6:57 pm
This song is as dated as beyonce herself
July 12th, 2009 at 1:52 am
@ Carl- Crazy in Love was better than any song that exists or ever will exist in Ciaras catalogue. Youre always so ready to jump on the hating bandwagon wherever Beyonce is concerned. Love Ciara and appreciate her music, no need to justify your love for mediocrity by tearing down all other artists who shit on your tranny
As for this song, the theme and the lyrics were corny as hell and the production was bland. Howveer the vocals were fire! Like her or loathe her, no one can credibly deny that in our generation of singers this woman is top tier alongside the likes of Xtina and Fantasia.
July 13th, 2009 at 2:31 am
It’s a cute song, and as elementary as “Check on It”, which was a number one song for Bey. So this would have easily climbed the charts if it was remastered and had a hot rap thrown in. Their are alot of good songs, by majority of artist, that don’t necesarily have overly deep and complex lyrics.
