I have no idea what’s going on with Tiffany Evan’s forthcoming new album ‘Ponytail Krush’ (interesting title but not one to be used if you want to be taken seriously as an artist). One of the songs from those recording sessions has surfaced. The song is called ‘Spotlight’ and it is helmed by Rihanna’s producer Brian Kennedy. Listen to it below:

I crave this. It’s furiously infectious with an upbeat, danceable sure-fire pop melody. The beat sounds a lot like Keri Hilson’s ‘Do It’ minus the LL Cool J sample. Her debut may have sold a measley 4,000 copies in its first week but her album had lots of hot tracks but she hardly got any promotion so a flop was inevitable sadly. Better luck this time around hopefully. Plus, I’m definetely rooting for her. I know she reads the blog because she gave me a shout-out earlier this year on her Youtube channel.
UPDATE: Her new album title is now ‘Ms Tiffany’. I am glad she changed it, lol.

Not a bad song at all (^_^) Tiffany’s voice is still incredible and at such a young age she’s still got plenty of time to make even more of an impact.
On another note, @Toya I’m curious to hear what you think of Jay Sean’s “Down” feat. Lil Wayne. I’m not too much of a Lil Wayne fan, but Jay Sean has been around in the UK for a bit and he’s about to make an impact on the US. He can definitely sing!

I don’t even post Rihanna pics on a daily basis. I didn’t even post the newest ones. It’s not all the time I compliment her. If she looks a hot mess, just like any other artist, I will say so. Though, with Rihanna, she is pretty consistent with her fierceness. It is what it is. If folks don’t like it, just scroll past the post and comment on another artist featured on the page.

@ Rap, I understand what you’re saying but in few articles, they are saying that it’s Disturbia that has coerced his name into the pop big leagues. Take Beyonce for example. Many R&B fans know that he worked with Amerie and Kelly Rowland before he did Beyonce. However, it’s Beyonce who is getting all the credit for putting his name out there for that one song ONLY (Crazy In Love). Well, the same thing applies with Rihanna as well.

Yeah, hopefully this time around she has way more promotion then she did last time. I thought her debut was really solid but didn’t get the recognition it deserved. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed. As for the track, it’s blazing. I think it’s another one of my summer jams. I’m also glad that album title got changed.

This is a nice song. I’ve just heard too many titled spotlight. She’s got a GREAT voice, but in this song its sounding like my sister and bugging me!!!
