GINUWINE’S COMEBACK ALBUM IS TOP 10 SUCCESS & LANDS NO 1 ON R&B CHARTS…

Posted by Toya on July 2, 2009

After a four year absense, Ginuwine’s comeback album ‘A Man’s Thoughts’ has topped the R&B charts and is also #9 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The album is preceded by the Bryan Michael-Cox produced single ‘Last Chance’, and is the first release under new label/production company Notifi/Asylum/Warner Bros.

GINUWINES COMEBACK ALBUM IS TOP 10 SUCCESS & LANDS NO 1 ON R&B CHARTS...

Notifi Records President Ira Dewitt is ecstatic at the success and issued the following statement yesterday (July 1st): “It makes me incredibly proud that my small independent label has earned a #1 R&B album on our very first try”. I am really happy for Ginuwine. I have not listened to the album yet so I don’t really know if it’s any good, although I really enjoy the Brandy duet ‘Bridge of Love’. This chick has been on so many leaked collaborations lately but I can’t wait for her new joint which is rumoured to be out later this year. G’s album stays sitting on my laptop just like the Maxwell and Melanie Fiona albums. I have a lot of listening to do but I will get round to listening this week. I have like 3-4 album reviews to write. It’s insane.

great, but how much did he sell ? haven’t heard it yet but I’m bout to D/L it in a few
and I DID NOT KNOW Melanie Fiona’s album came out already wtf, she got like no promotion & it sucks cause she’s a raw talent…CLEARLY What the industry needs, enough with the manufactured bitches, you seen one then you seem them all.

    Congrats to Ginuwine…

I’ve listened to the first 3 songs and it’s great so far, Melanie’s was good too and Maxwells was nice but a little bit on the short side, there was on song where he didn’t even sing but the music was nice, “Phoenix Rise” I believe it was called… I enjoyed the album though… I’ve enjoyed a few new releases so far actually Jeremih, Jonas Brothers and my HONOURABLE MENTION Raheem DeVaughn’s Art of Noise Mixtape included…

Ginuwine’s new album is quite good…good summer music! Now all I need is that K’Jon album that comes out on Aug. 4th and I will be set for the rest of the summer! Y’all should check out his music @ http://www.myspace.com/whoiskjon

Ginuwine sold roughly 40k. Not bad considering his first single was straight R&B with no pop potential.

I couldn’t really get into the album with the exception of a few tracks. Where’s the Get Involved video though?

The album was pretty good. Of course it dosen’t compare to his early works but it was good. I’m so happy for him and for someone who had no promotion whatsoever, this a great look for hime. Congradulations!

I didn’t like the album. I thought it was lacklustre but I’m glad that he’s doing good on the charts.

The album is great. Its R and B at its best. The songs are all have some flavor to them. I wish him well and miss this kind of music.
