‘Boom In It’ is the latest simultaneous leak from Mario’s forthcoming new album ‘And Then There Was Me’. The track which had The Dream featured on a previous version now has R&B veteran Brandy gracing her vocals over the track instead. Listen to it below:

History is repeating itself all over again. With his last album ‘Go’, there were so many leaks which resulted in his album getting pushed back one year later than the intended release date. It was such a fantastic album but sadly, it underperformed really badly. I hope that’s not the case with this latest new album. As for the song, Brandy’s part on the smooth R&B midtempo is really restricted. As the song entails sexy lyrics where he is calling out to his girl, the song could have been a sexy his and her phone convo. Mario starts off the song with the phone references so such concept makes a lot of sense. It’s a nice song but not really a full on collaboration, just a feature. Although Mario says his album will explore sounds outside of the R&B circle, I am glad that he is still pursuing the contemporary R&B songs that he is well known for.

It’s not brilliant, would have been better if it were Brandy featuring Mario. Kinda sounds like the stuff that leaked from her with Ne-Yo.

She sounds good, but yes, she does sound restricted. @ Nathan I agree, It should be Brandy Ft. Mario. She would have been able to kill the ad-libs in this song.

I am a huge fan of both artists…It’s a nice song period…but I wish it were more of a 50/50 duet

I agree with BMAM. Brandy only has like 1 bar on the song, but I like the track a lot.

Mario is one of the few male artists I actually like and appreciate, but I would have been more interested in this had Brandy been allowed a bigger role. I just purchased the Ginuwine song featuring Brandy from iTunes.

Brandy is so pointless on this…. any flop chick could have done her part. Christina Milian and Electrik Red must have been busy.
Mario sounds GREAT and this is a niiice sequel to Music For Love. I’m digging this alot. Can’t wait for his new album.

I think it’s a cool R&B mid tempo. I probably would liked it better if Brandy’s part wasn’t so restricted but I enjoy Mario either way. His forthcoming album ‘And Then There Was Me’ is expected to drop this September.

She always sound good on everything. And I like Mario alot too, but this should have a been a duet!!! But B is the Queen!
