Former 3LW/Cheetah Girl member Adrienne Bailon has been recording her first solo debut album on Def Jam. A new song which has surfaced from her latest recording sessions has now leaked. The track is titled ‘This Hot’ which sees Bryan Michael-Cox on producing and The Dream on penning duties. Check out the audio below:

The dungeon-sounding midtempo consists of synthesized beats which is cool. I actually hear it’s potential throughout. Maybe if it had more steroids in its pace with better songwriting and polished up vocals, the song could be hot. Something about it is really lacking, but then again, it is a demo that sounds unfinished. If Adrienne wants to be taken seriously as a solo recording artist, she is going to have to have to do better, because I can smell the head of a chicken a mile off.

Jennifer Hudson has yet to publicly confirm her pregnancy with fiancé David Otunga. However, due to a couple of recent concert pictures showing off her growing baby bump and her maternity wardrobe becoming more and more blatant, we guessed for MANY weeks that she was expecting despite the strong denials.

Apparently, the singer had a baby shower in her Native chicago which took place yesterday (May 30th) in a relative’s home. Jennifer’s friend Felicia Fields, told the Chicago Tribune that the couple are trying to keep it quiet and that they all had a great time celebrating Jen’s pregnancy. The sex of Jen’s baby is not yet known but this serves as a massive congrats especially in light of what Jen has been through these last couple of months.

Former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland performed a full set at the annual ‘Love Music Hate Racism’ festival yesterday (May 30th). Kelly, who performed to a crowd of over 30,000 people, served as one of the headliners at the festival which took place at the Stoke City FC Britannia Stadium in the United Kingdom:

She looked gorgeous and she has the prettiest skin complexion. Only in Europe can Kelly still perform her old songs and still feel appreciated/relevant. No wonder she loves over here so much. Her music video for ‘When Love Takes Over’ is set to see a premiere next week.

Chris Brown sure has been making regular appearances at these latest NBA conference basketball finals lately. As he prepares himself for a musical summer comeback, his public appearances are becoming more and more frequent. The 20-year-old singer was spotted at another basketball match yesterday (May 30th) watching the first quarter of Game 6 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic in Orlando, Fla:

Ashanti and Nigel attended ‘There’s No Place Like Home’ dog adoption day at New York City Center yesterday (May 30th). The singer was looking cute and casual as she kept the furry animal company:

Never one to miss out on a clubbing opportunity, Rihanna was spotted again in London last night (May 30th). This time she was snapped leaving the Studio Valbonne club with a friend. Peep a couple of flicks below:

She looked nice here. Much better than the last set of photos. Also, we could be hearing new vocals from Rihanna (possibly) in the official version of Kanye West’s ‘Paranoid’ video (I thought the initial idea was for the song to be a remix). According to director Nabil Elderkin, the version that leaked looks NOTHING like the official one that has yet to make an official premiere. He tells MTV news: “That wasn’t even an old version. That wasn’t even the video. It was just a bunch of footage, like a timeline type of thing to show the idea. That was pre-rough cut”. Actor/singer Jamie Foxx and actress Halle Berry got the audience going crazy when they both shared a steamy kiss onstage at Spike TV’s 2009 ‘Guys Choice Awards’ in LA, yesterday (May 30th). By the looks of things, it appears Foxx decided that if he was going to encounter the sexy Halle in such a fashion, he may as well go all the way and cop a handful as well. The sexy actress accepted the ‘Decade of Hottness’ award from the actor, and the ceremony will air on June 21st. Foxx is no stranger to passionately kissing on stage because he pulled the very same stunt with American Idol champ Fantasia Barrino at the BET Awards back in 2006. As a matter of fact, they are BOTH known for pulling these stage antics. Halle did the same thing with Adrien Brody a few years back at the Oscars. All I can say is gotdamn. Halle looked absolutely fantastic and I am ecstatic that she has gone back to her trademark short hair. It brings out the best in her stunning features. When I look at today’s Halle, all I remember now is that James Bond scene when she is walking out of the water in that orange bikini and thinking WOW. I don’t think she’s a great actress but when it comes to physical youth and beauty, this woman sh*ts on females half her age.

Ciara attended the MTV Video Music Awards in Japan at the Saitama Super Arena on Saturday (May 30th). She also wore a shimmering skintight bodysuit for a sexy new performance of ‘Love Sex Magic’. You can watch an MQ clip of the performance here.

She was really owning that red carpet with much fierceness and class. I liked the performance, although it was not her best. The singer has also shot the video’s for her two simultaneous singles ‘Like A Surgeon’ and ‘Work’, so we should be seeing those pretty soon. In the Work video, Ciara is set to sizzle amongst a set of sexy females who were cast to play a couple of saucy construction workers.

Christina Milian and her producer boyfriend The Dream are set to make their engagement official according to Sister2Sister. They bumped into the lovebirds at a recent Keyshia Cole gig (The Dream is currently supporting Keyshia on tour) and claim that “they told us they’re getting married and planning to have an engagement party in the Bahamas”. The Dream was previously married to another R&B songstress. That singer is Nivea, and they have a daughter together…

Many of you would remember my post from March 24th when I posted pictures of the couple holidaying together on the Hawaiian island of Maui. That was 10 days before she denied her engagement on March 14th in a previous Myspace entry. Christina was spotted rocking a massive diamond ring on her engagement finger. Plus, The Dream was also spotted rocking an engagement ring on his finger too! Check the pics in that post! It seems they were celebrating the engagement when they went public for the first time. The engagement rumours have been flying around since March which Christina has strenously denied but then, she was denying her relationship with The Dream back then too; until they went public two weeks later. It seems a bit sudden to me especially since she reportedly broke up with Dre last December but whatever float their boat. If true, congrats.

What is said to be the biggest upset in the history of reality television was a victorious one for my no 1 act Diversity. Last night, the talented street dance act won Britain’s Got Talent pipping media hype machine Susan Boyle in the process. As well as fulfilling their dream of performing for the Queen at this year’s Royal Variety Performance, they won themselves a nice tidy cash prize of £100,000. Peep the winning performance below:

I have been rooting for Diversity from DAY ONE and I did not see this coming. I had a gut feeling they would make the top 3 but I didn’t think they would win. As stated in yesterday’s post, I was so certain (along with the rest of the world) that Boyle would walk away with the crown. Oh my God, you should have seen my reaction when Ant and Dec called out their name. I practically screamed my mothers house down, deafening my poor sisters in the process. It doesn’t hurt that their leading choreographer (Ashley) is a hottie. He is really intelligent, talented and it is his concepts that got them where they are today. I was also really shocked that Flawless didn’t make the top 3 (I liked that they came up with a brand new routine). I thought it was going to be Boyle, Diversity and Flawless. Nonetheless, I am more than ecstatic (as are the Bookies who raked in over a million pound in bets) with the result and I could not have asked for a worthier winner. Yes!!!!!!

Akon has insisted that Michael Jackson will not be singing live during his forthcoming ‘This Is It’ London residency at London’s O2 Arena. He states that the King of Pop, who will kick off his opening show on July 13th, will solely rely on a pre-recorded track instead…

“Michael singing I’m not so sure about. He will perform but not sing. It’s going to be amazing, I can definitely tell you that. I’m going to have front row tickets. I will have the best tickets in the house and will be so close to the stage you will think that I am on it.”

I find it hilarious that this is coming from the man who had to eat crow pie when he said MJ would never perform again. As we all know, MJ is a lot older now and it’s no surprise he will use a little back up along the way if his dance routines are as complex as they have us believing (didn’t he lip sync at his HiStory tour 12 years ago?). For me, the real test is whether he can still throw down on stage like he use to. And in time, we’ll see.

Beyonce’s next UK single has been confirmed and it’s going to be the techno-driven/europop ‘Sweet Dreams’. The track is set for a July 20th release. This will serve as the latest single from the singers current album ‘I Am…Sasha Fierce’. So far, the album has sold over 600K copies in the UK. Peep the official cover art for it “to the left”.

I think Sweet Dreams is a good choice. We are already obsessed with the likes of Lady Gaga who has taken over in that field, so there’s no reason why UK airwaves won’t eat this up. Since the song leaked back in February last year I’ve been pretty much over it. Matter of fact, I am pretty much over this whole “Sasha Fierce” era, period. I play her first two solo albums a lot more than this new one and feel Beyonce sold out a bit on this new album just to achieve commercial success - not that she needed to. With the help of a very popularised dance that is set to become iconic *gags* Single Ladies crapped on ‘If I Were A Boy’. Beyonce is said to be going on a 2-3 year hiatus after she is done with this album and any other type of affiliation with it (tour, re-releases, DVD’s, etc) leaving room for her to start a family with her husband Jay-Z, but I’ll believe it when I actually see it.
