Britney Spears’s ‘Circus’ video wasn’t set to premiere until Friday, but it got an early screening last night. However, according to Britney.com, this is NOT the official version we will see on ET on Friday. Check out the clip below:

Britney, Britney, Britney. What more can I say? I’m a bit ticked off that her label were acting like this was going to be Britney’s breakthrough video especially when they would put out these little teaser clips to excite her fans, and yet, the video wasn’t even amazing. At all. When I saw her perform this track on Good Morning America this past Tuesday, my anticipation for the Circus-themed video started to deteriorate and rightly so. I like how they kept quickly changing the shot during the dance break. Every five seconds, the camera would quickly cut away to a close up of Britney miming to the song. Instead of having a nice long camera shot of the singer “dancing her ass off” the shot would quickly change. And judging by the choreography (or what they allowed us to see) it wasn’t anything WOW and this song was the PERFECT song to give it some swag. I simply feel she’s not even ready to tour given the nature of her recent performances, so why is she pushing herself beyond what she’s capable of?

They’re gonna add a few extra shots to this one and show it Friday. It’ll still be the same thing. It seems like they’re trying to overcompensate for the tepid response to the leaked version. If you saw the performance, you don’t miss a thing with the video. I want my 3:34 back.

The dancing was good but could of been so much better with such an energetic track and one of few standouts on the album. Unfortunately she made better music during the breakdown.

I think the video is BANGIN’! Everything was on point except for the dancing. The song is tailor made for a full on dance routine, but Britney just didn’t bring it. Every time she did dance, the camera stayed on her for all of 2 seconds before showing sand and shots of elephants. Other than that, I thought the video was awesome. Britney looked the best she’s looked in a long while.
This dark circus vibe is what her album promo’s should’ve captured. Not the bullshit candy floss Zippo’s circus garbage she went with. That Circus album cover is as bad as Blackout’s.

All this talk about Beyonce in every post cracks me up. I don’t care what anyone says, she is UNORIGINAL in EVERYTHING she does. Her best album was her debut and her new album has about 7 great ballads and maybe 3 good uptempo tracks. B’Day was garbage except for 4 songs. Overall, the bitch is over rated and stays trying to damn hard.
Meanwhile you got non singing lip synching entertainers like Britney that don’t try and make it big iconic status coming out with better singles and videos that are always liked. The Circus video was fitting of the song. “Kill the Lights” “Unusual You” “Out From Under” “Mannequin” and “Shattered Glass” better have amazing videos as well. I think this album will last longer in terms of more singles than Blackout, which was kinda unfortunate.

I agree about Blackout Sean. I know we should be drawing a line under it. But it’s hard to when the album was so good and every song on it aside from “Ooo ooo baby” and “Heaven on earth” was single material. I would’ve LOVED for Britney to have dropped “Hot as ice” as a single and done a bomb ass playful video for it - like a cross between “Do somethin’” and Beyonce’s “Get me bodied”. And then do a dark “I’m a slave 4 u”, “Circus”-esque video for “Perfect lover”.
I think “Out from under” is confirmed as the 3rd single, with “Kill the lights” being the 4th. I hope she gets her swagger back in time for “Kill the lights”, because that video definitely can’t do without a full on dance routine. She done screwed Danja over on Blackout, she can’t do it twice. *lol*

I have found her performances a notch up from “Gimme More” last year but she just doesnt seem like she is all there when she is on stages and she is still stiff. She doesnt own the stage how she used to do in the past. I agree with most people, The circus video fits the song. Its not the best britney vid ever, but is good.
