Posted by Toya on November 14, 2008

Alicia Keys has been hitting up all the TV shows lately in promotion of her re-release ‘As I Am: The Super Edition’. The album will drop in stores on November 25th. Her latest stop was The View, where she performed latest single ‘Superwoman’:

ALICIA KEYS PERFORMS SUPERWOMAN ON THE VIEW...

Yes I know we’ve seen many of the same performances as of late but at least (like Beyonce) she’s talented, and doesn’t rely on her beauty to get ahead. Plus, she does a wonderful job each time.

Here’s the interview:

She talks about her accomplishments, movie roles, inspirations and lots of other stuff.

Agreeded, Beyonce and Alicia are talented and deserve a post for each performance… they are great performers too,,, they dont just stand there and let there looks make them money *cough*rihanna*cough*

Sigh… you know what, why does everyone always have to bash rihanna? She is great in her own way just like everybody else. And for the people that say she can’t sing you need to check out unfaithful, and hate how I love you. She did great vocally on those. Anyway there’s my lil rihanna stanism for the day lol

  3. ToyaNo Gravatar Says:

I actually think Rihanna can sing. People put her, Cassie and Ciara in the same boat vocally but I think Rihanna tops them. True, she’s not a strong vocalist but she knows how to work with what she’s got.

I’m sorry ms Rihanna is in the same boat with Cassie and Ciara when comes to singing. Her recent live performances(the VMAs) proved that she’s not a great singer, and whats worse she lacks stage presence and doesn’t know how to dance or even entertain her audience. At least Ciara makes up for vocal limitations with her dancing and entertaining abilities.Rihanna get all these elaborate performing outfits and staging but always fail to bring all these elements together. She been in the game for almost 4yrs now and still there hasn’t been any improvement or growth in her performing abilities. Anyhow i enjoy Alicia key interview and performance, she did a good with performance.

Alicia is a legend in the making

  6. ZNo Gravatar Says:

Great as usual. But I couldn’t see myself sit through a whole concert with her.

  7. Ida CorrNo Gravatar Says:

first off ciara can sing way better then assie and ritard.

lets be serious. rihanna has no range. she sounds like a robot. how can you call that shit singing? i rather listen to cassie then rihanna.

alicia is a true legend in the making. she doesnt have to be over the top and do all this extra shit. she lets her music speak for itself. nobody goes to see her dance or act a fool on the stage. they go to see her SING & PLAY THAT PIANO.

Ahh, Alicia  I wanna meet her one day.

Sidenote: I still hate Sherri Shepherd (the bullfrog looking one with no neck).

I actually went to the chris brown/rihanna concert (went to see cb dance) and thought her vocals have improved and are way better then cassie’s monotone voice, not sure about ciara though but she is a awful dancer and was only mildly entertaining with the other dancers/lights/sparks not really her ‘working’ the stage.
Even though i think alicia is quite boring most of the time with perfs, she comes out with pretty good songs.

I Love Alicia!!! Her and Bey are my favorites and will always be. They are legends in the making. They are not going anywhere. I know that 20 years from now, we’ll still buy their albums.

Is it really a compliment to say that Rihanna sings better than Cassie? Just wondering…

I agree about Alicia, Toya, which is why she should be on your banner instead of Christina Milian :!:

  16. faceNo Gravatar Says:

word lola…..i think that ppl know that alicia is talented and really good but are so reluctant to say it or “stan” for her, i never understood why. being a fan i would say to ppl that alicia is incredible, the’ll be like yea, shes good and shes really pretty, but _____ [nameless artist] is poppin, i love her! [i know that was a lil different from what u were saying lola but i wanted to rant a lil lol]

anyway, i agree with toya and marcus. seriously, rihanna sings better than cassie and ciara im sry. ppl are gonna disagree because they dont like her but she can sing.

watch that performance, she does exceptionally well and there are others. but hey, ppl will continue to hate her and to act like she does absolutely nothing.

I am not a hater butToya I know Beyonce is the
talk of the town right now but this site in the last few days has only
been dedicated to beyonce everypost this site should be named beyonce world
