Moments ago, Keri Hilson’s new video ‘Return The Favor’ premiered on Yahoo Music. The song and video features Timbaland, who also produced the track:
The video was good. A bit more could have been done with the choreographed scene towards the end, but overall, the video is definetely a step up from ‘Energy’. It looks like she had a lot of fun with the many different looks that were featured in the vid. It looks like Keri’s album ‘In A Perfect World’ will see a Dec 9th release after all. Let’s just keep those fingers crossed.

I couldn’t bear to watch the video all the way simply because I find the song and over-use of voice effects unbearable.

She is beautiful, and I think her voice is so easy to mesh with these varying beats while still managing to be her own. I actually like the song a little now. I still fear for her career. I love the energy she brings to the video just like her performances. *crosses fingers and whispers* Please be the next big thing!

I liked the video, it looked high budget, and she looked hot!
I hate it when the camera flickerz though, it’s annoying.
I think she’s actually an under-rated dancer!
I hopeeee the album drops December 9th. Don’t think it will though.

I like the song.. But the video reminded me of too many other previous one… even when she did the leg thing(single ladies)… this is a prime example that almost every thing has been done under the sun..
Wish her luck.. Don’t think it’ll do much impact.. Lets hope I prove myself wrong & her album actually comes out in December.. Even if it those.. I hope it premieres in the top 10… especially when Ciara is coming out that day too

It can be looked @ as a good thing though.. Go Girl isn’t doin well(like many ppl have mentioned), so this gives her a chance to release another track..
& her fans just might be satisfied with another single..

I agree heavensent I don’t even knw what trak i wanted as lead, but she is still working on it she was in the studio with sean garett who helped produce goodies so hopefully they came with fire.

I LOVE this song, it sounds so different and coo. Keri looks amazing in the video, I bought Return The Favor off of iTunes as soon as I saw the video on TRL today.

It was like watching the best of 2007/2008 videos. It’s a whole bunch of past video concepts put together in one.

Yeahh… that was screaming some Umbrella/Shawty Get Loose/Comeback ish to me also. She shoulda did more choreography for sure to add some kind of interest to her. She’s pretty and has a nice voice tone, but she’s still lacking something to me.

Great song but the video didn’t do the song justice. I expected something spectacular. She’s gorgeous and everything, but I felt the shooting with all over the place, the transitions were corny. Anyway, good luck on her album!
The scene with the pink dress and mirrors reminded me of Rihanna’s SOS video, kinda.

She should’ve stuck with the demo, not that it would have helped this video. They need go ahead and re-slap that TBA album release date. Also, Melina and Keri need to part ways

My only complaint is that they didn’t show the whole choreography. The behind the scene video showed the whole routine and it was hot, so how come the final product only showed like five seconds.
Kelsi, I do agree that it’s time for Keri and Melina to split ways. She directed Ciara’s Go Girl and this reminded me so much of that.

WTF is this…
1) Straight-jack rip of Rihanna’s style and videos (i.e. SOS, Umbrella, Disturbia (kinda))
2) Too much pixely editing - it distracts the viewer and it’s hard to watch (kinda like Ciara’s new vid, but Ciara’s was at least much better)
3) The song is kinda boring and repeatitive. She has some other great tracks.. wish they released one them instead.

the only two things that really resemble rihanna’s video is the scene wit the mirrors and the part where they’re dancing in the water. the water scene has already been done by 3LW and brandy in the afrodisac video; I would expect some of u “brandy fans” to kno that.
the mirror scene idk but im sure it was done. im sure rihanna didn’t come up wit it either. also it isn’t fair solely blame keri on account of not directing the video.
overall the video was good and more dancing is definitely required. nathan, I agree wit u, keri can definitely dance. she’s like a smoother ciara.
